Es va constituir una Joint Venture entre l’operador turístic TUI, Mar Confort i MedPlaya Hotels per al desenvolupament, compra i explotació d’hotels, ocupant-se MedPlaya de la gestió i comercialització dels establiments: un hotel a Benidorm (Alacant) i un altre a Sinemorets (Bulgària).
